When Alex, a 27 years old German guy, travels to Brazil for the first time, he discovers something he’s never known before: belonging. Drawn into the warmth and chaos of Rio, he decides not to leave. As his legal stay expires and his options narrow, Alex pushes the limits of his freedom—navigating friendship, love, loss, and moral compromise.

When his illegal status is exposed to the authorities he is forced him to confront the life he’s built and the identity he’s forged.

This pitch was awarded SILVER at the Young Director Awards in Cannes 2025. It’s a co-production and was developed to take place in Germany and Brazil.
